However, performance sportswear does not play a very significant role in fashion design schools, though it offers appealing design challenges with a high potential for innovation. Under the title “Active – Performance Sportswear” the European Fashion Award FASH 2012 together with the Special Award Gore Bike Wear is searching for sportswear for competitive, endurance or fitness sports, with a ground-breaking combination of function and fashion.
