Fashion Forward is a British Fashion Council scheme designed to provide support to UK based designers who have already established a profile at London Fashion Week through the NEWGEN  or NEWGEN MEN  programme, or who are at an equivalent stage in their business. The primary aim is to enable designers to show their collections at London Fashion Week and develop their businesses through access to a range of advisors. Fashion Forward applicants are selected by a panel of key industry representatives including Caroline Rush, CEO, BFC; Anna Orsini, BFC; Caroline Issa, Executive Fashion Director & Publisher, Tank; David Watts, Business Support Manager, BFC; Katie Bain, Show Manager, BFC; Melanie Smallwood, Head of eBay Fashion Brands; Oscar Pinto-Hervia, Founder and Creative Director, Hervia; Paula Reed, Fashion Director, Harvey Nichols and Sarah Mower MBE, BFC Ambassador of Emerging Talent, Contributing Editor to US Vogue and American Vogue.com. 

Previous Fashion Forward winners include Christopher KaneErdemGiles Deacon, Jonathan Saunders,Louise GoldinMarios SchwabRichard NicollRoksanda Illincic and Todd Lynn.

APPLICATION SUBMISSION

Fashion Forward applicants will then need to return their application forms as well as the following by Friday 1st November:
Full business plan including:
  • Short-term and long-term business goals and objectives.
  • Current organisational structure (employees and roles).
  • Consultants, outside advisors and professional organisation that you are currently working with.
  • Your current brand positioning in the market.
  • Three year plan for the business.
  • Last set of audited accounts and projection for current financial year.
  • A list of your current UK and international stockists.
  • A diversity monitoring form.
Brand presentation
  • A portfolio containing imagery and look books from your recent  spring/summer 2014 collection and past 4 seasons collections s which may include sketches, photos, editorial images, advertisements and/or videos
